How i asked my boyfriend out

I promised those who cared to read my previous post that i would be sharing how i fell in love with and asked my boyfriend out.

Yusuf caught my attention the first time he came to my office with his friend Mahmud who at that time was asking me out. Though i was beginning to like Mahmud, because of the attention and care he was showing me, he always came to see me during working hours😚 and not without bringing me small chops but i had not told him YES.

And then came the day he came with Yusuf. It was love at first sight, he was shy and i guess he must have noticed how i couldn't take my eyes off him till they left. Since then, i would always ask after Yusuf from Mahmud and the unsuspecting Mahmud would innocently tell Yusuf i asked after him when he returns to the office. I never stopped thinking about Yusuf till the day i secretly checked and picked him mobile number from Mahmud's phone's contact.

After having his phone number, the first thing i did was to check if he is on Whatsapp and confirm if its the right Yusuf i picked his number. And yes, his profile picture confirmed it. At first i was nervous at chatting him up. But i summoned the courage and sent him a prayer message which he replied the following day with "Amen, Thank you".

If I Love You, I Will Come For You

Some friends have told me countless times that going for the man i like makes me look cheap and wouldn't make me command any respect from them. In actuality, that seems to be true. But in a recent trend of only pot bellied men coming for girls and young cute and legible guys get scared away because they feel your taste may be too high and they probability can't foot your bills, why won't i just go for them.

I am that type of lady that don't get too carried away by the good things of life (not as if i don't want in totality though), i as well believe in prospects. A graduate who you think is at the moment jobless still has a higher chance of making it big tomorrow, as such, making your decision to love him worthwhile but some girls will also ague it with me that he will dump you and go for another girl but i ask, is it in every cases?

A high percentage has suffered such backlog and a higher percentage has also found it fruitful. It all depends on how you both understand the relationship, how you relate, plan and your individual effort in making it workout and retaining your position in the others life.

That brings me to the issue of my current boyfriend. Yes! I did asked him out and we have been cool together ever since. How did i go about asking a guy out? You will read that in my next post.
